This article discusses the treatment of a patient who experienced severe neurological and cognitive decline following an untreated high-grade fever that resulted in seizures. Over several years, the patient suffered from recurring seizures, chronic hiccups, depressive symptoms, and cognitive impairments, significantly affecting daily life. Initial treatment involved seizure control and mood stabilization with medication, but the condition deteriorated due to insufficient social support and adverse effects from the treatment. In response, a new treatment strategy was implemented, emphasizing neurological rehabilitation and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). The rehabilitation program aimed to restore cognitive functions and motor skills, while CBT targeted mood disorders, emotional regulation, and coping strategies. This integrated approach was successful in alleviating symptoms, supporting recovery, and enhancing the patient’s overall quality of life. The case underscores the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in managing complex conditions involving both neurological and psychological aspects.
